My summer obsession

So, last summer I became unapologetically obsessed with "So You Think You Can Dance" (is anyone surprised?). Mia Michaels (one of the choreographers) has always been hit or miss for me, but I was blown away by her, and, of course, the dancers last night with a piece that represented the devastation of addiction. Don't get me wrong, I still love Jeannine and Phillip, but, for me, this was the best dance of the season so far.

If you don't watch this show, WATCH THIS SHOW. Hailey and I have perfected the ability to watch the entire show in less than 45 minutes, so it's not even a time commitment. And it doesn't make you feel dirty when you watch it, like Dance Your Ass Off or NYC Prep. Or, you know, Daisy of Love...but that one is totally worth it.

I caught the end of this show last night and loved it. I think I might start watching it regularly.

YES. YES. I freaking LOVE SYTYCD. But I've been so busy this last couple weeks that I haven't seen since three weeks ago when Max went home. *sigh* I will catch up this weekend.

And how can you not like Mia? She is absolutely freaking amazing with some of her routines. Although I like Mandy Moore more consistently. And how can you like Phillip? He pops and locks whenever he does EVERYTHING. It's so awkward to watch.

Yea Meg!! That's what I like to hear. :-)

And Matt -- like you said, I just don't love Mia Michaels CONSISTENTLY. Although, when she is on her game, she puts out the best routines on the show. NapTabs are consistently my favorite choreographers, but I like that style best, which is also why I love Phillip.

Hmm. I can see that. I like hip-hop some of the time, and I love NappyTabs a lot. But my tastes tend to run more towards contemporary/modern. I don't know if Phillip has improved since I'm three weeks behind, but I'll catch up.

It's times like these I wish we still had a common room to watch things.
